Practice Manager Overview—A flexible approach to Practice Management Software.

Practice Manager is comprised of a suite of intuitive software "modules" that can be purchased individually or as a complete package. The latter option also includes complete customisation, on-site installation and training. All of DGL's software includes a "Training Mode" containing dummy data to assist with familiarisation.

DGL recognise that every practice, clinic and hospital's requirements and demands from a software package are different from that of the next. That is why DGL's software is structured to provide just the solution that you require, when you require it, and with an easy upgrade path should your circumstances change.

Software to suit every practice's requirements

Drawing upon the experience gained from supplying over 3000 licences to a broad cross section of practices, clinics and hospitals, DGL's product portfolio includes a variety of solutions tailored for a wide variety of environments.
These include:

  • Single Practitioner Systems
The best selling version of Practice Manager to date! Practice Manager is available as both a mail order version or fully installed, customised and with on-site training. The mail-order version is ideal for those who are just starting up in private practice and want a low cost start up option with a full upgrade path to the best selling private practice software in the UK. Others may only require certain elements of the software, so why pay for features that you will not use?

  • Multi-Practitioner Systems
Increasingly practitioners are sharing administrative and secretarial services. Practice Manager is available as a true "Multi-Practitioner" system (where each practitioner keeps their own data seperated from the rest), a "Group System" (where all practitioners work as a single company) or as a combination of both. Specific versions are available for Group Radiology and Group Anaesthetist practices. With all versions, specific reports and analysis of income, etc are available to assist in group management.. Contact DGL to discuss the best configuration for your individual needs.

  • Corporate Hospital Systems
DGL currently supply their software to BUPA/Spire Healthcare, Classic Hospitals, BMI, Nuffield, HCA International and Community Hospitals. Often this is a tailored version that works within the structure of a given corporation. DGL can work closely with corporate groups to ensure a global corporate policy is implemented.

In some instances corporate clients may want DGL to train their in-house support/training staff and just supply software licenses. This allows the client to provide the installations, training and first line support, thereby allowing the entire process to stay under corporate control. This provides many benefits both from a cost per unit basis and from an overall management basis.

Speciality Based Software

The software can be configured to reflect the varying requirements of all Healthcare Professionals, regarless of their chosen branch of medicine. For example, Anaesthetists, Surgeons, Physicians, Radiologists, Physiotherapists and Private GPs all have different requirements when billing. Equally, each sub-speciality also has its own requirements, whether Orthopaedic, MedicoLegal, Ophthalmic, or General. Practice Manager can be quickly configured to reflect these differences.

Working from Multiple Sites

For those that need to use their Practice Manager software at different locations, DGL offer a unique "Clinic Merge" licence. This allows Practice Manager to be used on more than one PC concurrently (i.e.; an office PC and a laptop) with the information being periodically "merged" between all the systems. Each system will then "learn" the work performed on the other PCs.

Clinic Merge provides a safer, more flexible answer to multiple location practices rather than using the "backup and restore" facilities that only allows one PC to be in use at any time. Additionally, Clinic Merge is specifically designed for the task and is not subject to the potential problems and errors commiserative with Backup & Restore whereby data may be accidentally replaced with out of date information or completely deleted.

If "live" access is required from remote sites, there is also a "remote network" license available, allowing secure simultaneous access to your Practice Manager system from anywhere on the Internet, such as a home broadband connection, or even a laptop connected to a mobile phone!

Networking
DGL's software is fully networkable, with workstation licenses available for purchase individually or in bulk. Practice Manager is proven on a variety of hardware platforms & network operating systems including Windows NT4, 2000, 2003 and Novell.
DGL can supply Practice Manager either as a software-only solution or as a complete hardware/software package. Previous network installations include a variety of practices ranging from 2 user networks through to major clinics spread across locations using radio and fibre optic links. The Company has also supplied complete RAID server solutions to a number of major Clinics and Hospitals.
