Company history

DGL was founded in 1992 with the sole purpose of developing software for UK private practice.

Our intiial MS-DOS version of Practice Manager was a huge success and focused on being a powerful tool for the Medical Secretary.

We were driven to ensure that the software was intuitive and easy to use as typically our software was the first computer program our customers had ever experienced -  often we were replacing electronic typewriters and card index systems.

The early software focused on the basics of running an efficient private practice - effective recording of patient details, easy billing and accountancy, effective debtor management & reminder letter production, fast production of correspondence, reporting and analysis. 

These core factors are still a vital part of our current versions of Practice Manager, however now the software has evolved to do these tasks in a far more modern & sophisticated way  and now we also cater for electronic patient records, clinic & theatre diaries, digital photos, research screens, sms appointment reminders etc - we are continually developing an ever more sophisticated solutionf or the benefit of our customers.

We invest heavily in ongoing development and strive to set the standards for others to follow.
